After absorbing high-intensity ultraviolet light in UV LED light source curing equipment, UV glue produces active free radicals or ionic groups, which initiates polymerization, crosslinking and grafting reactions, so that the UV glue can be converted from liquid to solid in a few seconds. This process is called UV curing.

 

The application range of UV glue is similar to that of visible light. It has linear properties, but its penetration force is far less than that of visible light. The shorter the wavelength, the worse the penetration force. Because UV LED light source curing equipment is mainly used for curing the epidermis or inner layer which can be directly irradiated by light or has better transmittance.

 

UV-LED light source curing equipment will produce a large amount of IR radiation heat at the same time. This radiation heat is beneficial for the workpiece with little influence on temperature. It can accelerate the reaction speed of UV-curing, especially for UV+anaerobic compound, the effect is more obvious.
