Usually the curing time of UV varnish or ink formulation is chosen within 0.1-0.2s. However, the specific time is related to the following factors in terms of technology after the formulation is determined:

 

 

 

1. Coating thickness, the surface of the coating solidifies quickly, but after the surface solidifies, it absorbs ultraviolet radiation strongly, and the ultraviolet intensity decreases exponentially, which reduces the curing speed. Therefore, the thin coating solidifies fast and vice versa slowly.

 

 

 

2. Ultraviolet intensity. When the strength is high, the curing time is short and vice versa.

 

 

 

3. Adding solvent. Adding diluents, such as ethanol, to UV varnish reduces the curing rate.

 

 

 

4. Environmental temperature. The coating temperature is ideal at 50-70 degrees.
