Offset printing is a kind of lithographic printing. Simply speaking, offset printing is the printing method of transferring pictures and texts on the plate to the substrate by means of rubber (rubber cloth). It is also the existence of rubber cloth, which is named for the UV printing method.
1. Offset printing has the characteristics of high efficiency, high quality and low cost compared with screen printing.
2. High efficiency. Offset printing adopts full automatic flow-line operation, automatic color matching by machine, automatic computer monitoring, fast speed, printing 15000 pieces per hour.
3. High quality. Computer fine-tuning, accurate color matching, high position accuracy.
4. Good color effect. Printing varnish, color luster, smooth surface, clear printing effect, not easy to fade.
5. Low cost. Offset printing is cylinder printing with thin printing layer and less oil.
Classification of offset paper
Offset paper (commonly known as forest paper) is a kind of paper used by offset press for multi-color printing. In offset printing, it is often used to print various brochures, book covers, maps, pictures and advertisements.
(2) Copper plate paper (also known as printing coated paper) is a high-grade paper which is coated with a layer of white paint on the surface of base paper and processed by super calendering. In offset printing, it is often used to print picture albums, pictorials, calendars, calendars, commodity samples and fine illustrations.
(3) Because of its hard texture, large thickness and weight, white board is often used to print various packaging cartons and trademarks in some packaging and decoration and trademark printing factories.
(4) Newsprint (commonly known as white newspaper) is seldom used in offset printing because of its soft texture, thin thickness and light weight.
Characteristics of Offset Paper
There are two types of offset paper: one-sided offset paper and two-sided offset paper. The most common paper weights are 70g/, 80g/, 90g/, 100g/and 120g/. This kind of paper has the characteristics of small flexibility, compact texture, no flour removal, no hair removal, and proper smoothness of the paper surface.
(2) Copperplate paper can be divided into one-sided copperplate paper and two-sided copperplate paper. The weight of common paper is 80g/, 100g/, 120g/, 150g/and 200g/. The paper has the characteristics of high smoothness, non-dedusting, non-stratification, and no bubble hole in the coating.
(3) White board can be classified as super-grade and ordinary, single-sided and double-sided. The most widely used paper weights are 200g/, 220g/, 250g/, 280g/, 350g/and 440g/. In addition to its white and smooth, uniform thickness, compact texture and non-powdered wool, it also has the toughness of folding and not easy to break.
(4) Newsprint can be divided into web paper and flat paper. Its weight is generally about 51 g/. Its characteristics are: soft paper, strong ink absorption, smooth paper surface and no hair. However, due to the soft paper, strong ink absorption and low water resistance, it is necessary to strictly control the moisture content of the page in order to prevent overprinting inaccuracy and wool.
